The Southern Military Zone, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, intercepted a drone carrying narcotics along the western border.
A responsible military source from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) said that Border guards tracked the drone, applied rules of engagement, and downed it inside Jordanian territory. The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities, according to a JAF statement.
Also on Wednesday, the Northern Military Zone foiled an infiltration attempt by an individual to cross one of the Kingdom’s border fronts illegally.
The sources said that the rules of engagement were applied, leading to the arrest of the individuals, who were then referred to the relevant authorities.
