The Northern Military Zone on Thursday thwarted an infiltration attempt along its northern border, a military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) announced.
According to the source, an individual was detected attempting to cross the border illegally. Rules of engagement were applied while the suspect was apprehended and handed over to the relevant authorities, according to a JAF statement.
The JAF reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the Kingdom’s borders, emphasising that all available resources are being employed to prevent infiltration or smuggling attempts and to uphold the security and stability of the Kingdom.
