The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) and the Jordanian Campaign on Monday sponsored the graduation ceremony of the Wafaa Association for Orphans in southern Gaza, held under the theme “A Thousand Children… One Heart.”
The celebration brought together orphans, their families, and several community and national figures, according to a JHCO statement.
The event featured artistic and entertainment performances by children, reflecting their resilience and determination to overcome the hardships of life under blockade and ongoing aggression. Gifts and toys were distributed, meals were provided, and logistical services were offered to ensure the event’s success.
Representatives of the Jordanian Campaign stressed that the initiative forms part of Jordan’s continued commitment to supporting the people of Gaza, particularly orphans who are most in need of care and assistance amid the extraordinary challenges in the Strip.
“The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation will continue its humanitarian and relief efforts in Gaza, under the guidance of His Majesty King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein,” they said.
The Wafaa Association for Orphans expressed its deep appreciation for the initiative, noting the lasting positive impact on children and their families, and commended the ongoing partnership with JHCO and the Jordanian Campaign in supporting humanitarian and social programmes across Gaza.
Families attending the event praised the efforts made to ensure its success, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in strengthening Gaza’s resilience and reflecting the enduring humanitarian solidarity between Jordan and Palestine.
The celebration concluded with expressions of joy from the children and their families, who described the day as a memorable moment of renewed hope, embodying the strong ties of solidarity and shared destiny between Gaza and Jordan.
