Interior Minister, Mazen Faraya, announced on Friday the closure of the Jaber border crossing with Syria due to security concerns in southern Syria.
Under the decision, Jordanian citizens and trucks will be allowed to return to Jordan, but outbound traffic to Syria will be halted.
Minister Faraya stated that Jordan is closely monitoring the developments in Syria, while the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to secure the border.
