The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday strongly condemned the “hostile threats and inflammatory remarks” made by the Israeli prime minister against Qatar, denouncing attempts to justify Israeli aggression targeting the Gulf country.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Fouad Majali reiterated Jordan’s full solidarity with Qatar, reiterating support for its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its people.
He also stressed the Kingdom’s absolute rejection of threats against Qatar, describing them as a reflection of the Israeli government’s escalating policies that undermine regional stability and international peace.
Majali also emphasised that Qatar’s security and stability are inseparable from those of Jordan, according to a ministry statement.
“The only path to a just and comprehensive peace that ensures regional security and stability lies in ending the occupation, curbing Israeli aggression, and realising the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to establish an independent, sovereign state on their national soil,” he said.
Majali also called on the international community to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities by pressuring Israel to stop its aggression in Gaza, curb escalating actions in the West Bank, and respect state sovereignty and the UN Charter.
