The Foreign Ministry on Sunday welcomed the signing of the Declaration of Principles between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the “Congo River” alliance, also known as the March 23 Movement, in Qatar.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah said that “the Kingdom welcomes this declaration, which contributes to enhancing security and peace across the African continent,” reaffirming Jordan’s support for all diplomatic initiatives aimed at resolving conflicts through peaceful means, according to a statement from the ministry.
Qudah also praised the “significant” efforts made by Qatar in facilitating the agreement, describing it as an important step toward achieving national reconciliation and stability in eastern Congo.
