The third round of the CFI Jordan Pro League highlighted Ramtha’s strong start to the season, as they established themselves as early pace-setters.

At Amman International Stadium, defending champions Hussein dropped points after being held 1-1 by Salt. Hussein were dealt an early blow when Latyr Fall was sent off in the 24th minute, but Aref Haj still managed to put them ahead four minutes later. Salt responded through Husam Abu Sadah in the 41st minute, and a subdued second half saw both sides settle for a point. Hussein now stand on seven points, while Salt remain on two.

Meanwhile, Wihdat bounced back strongly with a 3-0 victory over Shabab Urdun at King Abdullah II Stadium. Shabab Urdun’s hopes were shattered after two red cards, and Wihdat took full advantage. Feras Shelbaieh opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 65th minute before Amer Jamous added a brace late on, striking in the 80th and 94th minutes. The win lifts Wehdat to six points, while Shabab Urdun stay rooted with just one.

In the round’s headline clash, Ramtha edged Faisali 1-0 at Al-Hassan Stadium. Hadeeb scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute, and Ramtha’s resilient defence preserved their perfect start to the season, with no goals conceded so far. The victory takes Ramtha to the top of the table with nine points, while record-holders Faisali remain on six.

In other matches, Ahli picked up their first win of the season with a 1-0 triumph over Sama Sarhan, leaving the promoted side rooted to the bottom of the table with no points. Baqaa and Jazira shared a goalless draw, a result that extended Baqaa’s strong start as they climbed to seven points, while Jazira stay on one.

After three rounds, Ramtha lead the standings with nine points, followed by Hussein on seven.
