The Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) concluded its promotional roadshow in Athens, reinforcing Jordan’s tourism presence in the Greek market and promoting the Kingdom as a distinctive and easily accessible destination.
The event was sponsored by Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ), the official national carrier of Jordan and the main sponsor of this initiative, according to a JITOA statement.
Some 40 leading Greek tourism companies participated in the event, which was marked by “productive” discussions and a growing interest in boosting travel and tourism cooperation with Jordan.
The opening ceremony was attended by Jordanian Ambassador to Greece Zuhair Al-Nsour, who reaffirmed the embassy’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance tourism cooperation and boost the friendship between the two nations.
JITOA Executive Director Lama Al Mahadeen expressed her pride in the success of the event and appreciation for Royal Jordanian’s instrumental partnership.
“The promotional tour in Athens represents an important step in promoting Jordan as a diverse and attractive destination. The remarkable participation and interest we witnessed reflect the strength of our message and the essential role played by Royal Jordanian, whose sponsorship and daily connectivity between Amman and Athens make such efforts possible,” Mahadeen said.
“As our national carrier, RJ continues to act as a vital bridge linking Jordan with regional and global markets, supporting both tourism development and national economic growth,” she added.
She further stressed that this collaboration highlights the “deep-rooted” relations between Jordan and Greece and opens new opportunities for joint tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and business partnerships.
The roadshow featured engaging business-to-business (B2B) meetings and presentations, providing Jordanian tour operators and hotels an effective platform to showcase the Kingdom’s diverse tourism offerings—from world-renowned heritage sites like Petra and Jerash, to the Baptism Site (Al-Maghtas), Mount Nebo, and the serene landscapes of the Dead Sea and Wadi Rum.
The event also underscored Jordan’s unique position as a destination for cultural, adventure, and religious tourism.
Mahadeen also expressed sincere thanks to the ambassador for his support and presence, and by expressing deep gratitude to RJ for its generous sponsorship and continuous partnership with the association, reaffirming its vital role in connecting Jordan to the world and advancing the Kingdom’s tourism aspirations.
